Dx has two parts: Dx Downloader, a Chrome and Edge extension that finds and saves the media and files on the page you're viewing, and Dx Tools, this website, with PDF, image and video tools that run in your browser.

Yes. Downloading and every tool can be used for free. Dx Pro, coming soon, adds batch downloads, processing many files at once and unlimited daily use.

No. Dx works without an account, email or sign-in. When Dx Pro is available, you will only need the license key you receive after purchase.

Open the page with the video or file, start playing the video for a few seconds, then click the Dx icon in your browser toolbar. Choose the quality you want and click Download. The file is saved in your Downloads folder.

Play the video for a few seconds and open Dx again: many sites only load the video once it starts. If it's still empty, reload the page (F5) while on the video, let it play, then open Dx again. Some players only reveal the video when the page loads.

Some videos are protected by DRM (common on paid streaming and some course platforms). Dx shows a notice and doesn't try to get around the protection. Live streams and some videos streamed in pieces are not supported yet.

No. YouTube is not supported.

Open the video itself, reload the page (F5), let the video play a few seconds, then open Dx. Dx only sees videos that were loaded since the page opened. When a site keeps the sound separate, Dx merges video and sound into one file.

In your browser's Downloads folder. In Dx Settings you can choose a subfolder (for example “Dx”), or have the browser ask where to save each file.

When a video has subtitle files, Dx lists them with their language. Choose VTT or SRT for each one, or download them all at once.

Course Mode organizes lessons you download into folders: Course / Section / Lesson. Turn it on in the Dx window. Dx fills in the names from the page when it can, and you can correct them before downloading. It only organizes files you are allowed to download; it doesn't unlock protected lessons.

Yes, with Dx Pro: select several files and Dx downloads them one after another in a queue.

Videos streamed in pieces are assembled in the tab, so keep that tab open until the download finishes. The limit is about 2 GB per video. If a link has expired, reload the page and try again.

Dx Downloader is made for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on computers.

No. Every tool runs in your browser: your files are read from your device and the result is saved back to it. Nothing is sent to a server.

Convert Word, Excel, PowerPoint and images to PDF; merge, split, organize, number and watermark PDFs; turn PDF pages into images; convert, resize, compress and crop images; and turn videos into MP3.

Conversion happens in your browser, without Microsoft Office. Word documents keep a close layout but their text can't be selected; PowerPoint keeps text, shapes and pictures, but some effects aren't reproduced; Excel sheets become tables with their values.

Password-protected PDFs can't be opened. Old Office formats (.doc, .xls, .ppt) must first be saved as .docx, .xlsx or .pptx. The maximum sizes are 200 MB for a PDF, 50 MB for an Office document, 40 MB for an image and 2 GB for a video.

Up to 5 files at once for free, and up to 100 with Dx Pro. Combining many images into a single PDF is always allowed.

Batch downloads, processing up to 100 files at once in Dx Tools, and unlimited daily use. Course Mode, subtitles and download history stay free.

Once Dx Pro can be purchased, the free version includes 2 downloads and 2 tool uses per day. Failed or cancelled downloads don't count, and the counter resets at midnight. Until then, there is no daily limit.

You receive a license key by email. In the extension, open Settings and paste it under License; on Dx Tools, paste it on the Pro page. One license works on one computer; to move it, deactivate it in Settings → License, then activate it on the new computer.

Yes, at any time. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and is not renewed after that.

Nearly nothing. The extension reads a page only when you open Dx on it (or, if you turn on automatic detection, checks pages on your computer to color its icon). Your settings, download history and daily counter stay on your device. Dx collects no analytics and has no ads.

In the extension, open Settings and choose “Reset Dx on this device”, or uninstall the extension. Files you downloaded stay on your computer.
